Growing up in a creative household, Ashley was always finding new ways to express herself - whether that be painting, jewelry making or toying around in the kitchen. She would spend countless hours trying new things.

Soon after Ashley graduated high school she had her eyes set on a culinary career, working in any and every field she could. Starting with fast-food chains and working her way through various catering companies and pastry shops in the Baltimore-Washington region. Being very driven and passionate about her craft, Ashley was always learning, whether that be at work or at home, there wasn’t a moment of downtime. She quickly moved her way through the ranks from being a prep baker to supervisor and eventually becoming the executive pastry chef of a prominent catering company in Washington DC.

During her stent as the executive pastry chef, she moved this company quickly and smoothly from “box baking” to 100% scratch baking within a matter of weeks. She was always writing new menus and experimenting with new desserts to offer their clientele. The response was phenomenal, blowing people out of the water when they would be introduced to Ashley and seeing how young, yet experienced and motivated she is.

Once the positive reviews over Ashley’s “out-of-the-box” style started rolling in, she soon realized she wanted to open her own company one day… so in 2017, she started locally with vending at the Carroll County Farmer’s Market and now can be found regularly around the area at events at breweries, dispensaries, craft markets, etc. to not only spread the word about what she does, but to also help her pay her way through school, and yet once again, the feedback has been outstanding.

Eager to keep growing, Ashley started catering birthday parties , cookouts and family reunions, making each client's vision come to life.

bad cookie is an online based bakery in carroll county maryland.

does bad cookie deliver?

currently we are pick up only by appointment. if delivery is requested there is a $45 order minimum and fee if the distance is further than 10 miles.

how do i place an order?

orders can be placed through the “get in touch” tab on our site, via facebook/instagram messaging (@badcookiebakery) or via email at badcookiebakery@gmail.com

do you offer vegan/gluten free/allergen friendly options?

yes we do! we have a published vegan menu that can be found under our “vegan” tab. if you are searching for a vegan dessert not listed, just shoot us a message and we will do our best to help! if you are in search of gluten free or allergen friendly options, just message us with what you are looking for and the allergies involved.

do we offer custom cakes?

we certainly do! just message or email us with reference photos and/or ideas. this also applies to cupcakes and wedding cakes.

do we cater dessert bars, weddings, and/or other receptions?

yes! we can work with any theme, budget or dietary need! hit us with your best ideas!

how do i make a payment?

we accept payments in multiple forms. when an order is placed you will have an invoice emailed to you with payment options attached.
